Tasman Lake Sunrise - New Zealand
Taken at Lake Tasman in New Zealand, with Mount Cook visible in the distance, -3 degree C weather was traversed through pitch dark and down steep unstable footing in order to reach this location for sunrise. The hike was well worth it, as the frigid landscape presented something not many people get to see with their own eyes.
Mount Cook/Aoraki - New Zealand
Surprisingly the lake was even bluer than this. It's been cut down significantly, but you can just see how incredible the place looked.
There are not many roads that I know of as scenic as that from going to Glenorchy from Queenstown. Set in the mountainside along lake Wakatipu, you are exposed to some of the most amazing mountainscapes known to man. There are so many stunning landscapes in fact you could say it was a landscape overload!
